AI Connection

Ask Claude or ChatGPT about your own bowling

Connect your StrikeMaster account to Claude or ChatGPT, then ask about your games in plain English. The assistant reads your own bowling data and can never change it.

What you need

  • StrikeMaster Annual Pro. AI connections are included with the annual plan.
  • Your own Claude or ChatGPT account. ChatGPT also needs Developer mode switched on.
  • A browser for setup. Connectors are added on claude.ai or chatgpt.com. After that the assistant's apps have StrikeMaster too.

The connector address

Both assistants ask for this address:

Connect Claude

  1. Open Claude. On claude.ai: Customize › Connectors › + › Add custom connector.
  2. Paste the address. Name it StrikeMaster, paste the address and press Add.
  3. Allow. Sign in to StrikeMaster and press Allow.

Connect ChatGPT

  1. Open ChatGPT. Use chatgpt.com in a browser. The app can't add connectors.
  2. Developer mode. Settings › Plugins › turn on Developer mode.
  3. Add StrikeMaster. Plugins › +. Name it StrikeMaster, paste the address, choose OAuth, press Create.
  4. Allow. Sign in to StrikeMaster and press Allow.

Things to ask

  • What's my average this season, and how has it changed month by month?
  • Which spares do I miss most often?
  • How does my strike rate compare between my two leagues?
  • Which ball do I score best with on this oil pattern?
  • Summarise my last series and tell me what to work on.

What the assistant can see

  • Can read: your profile basics, games, frames, sessions, leagues and tournaments you bowl in, bowling balls, houses and oil patterns.
  • Cannot read: other bowlers' data, messages, friends, payments or account settings.
  • Cannot change anything. The connection is read-only, enforced by our database.
  • Fair use. Requests are rate-limited per account to keep the service fast for everyone.

Stats are worked out the same way as in the app, so numbers should match your Stats tab. Assistants can still make mistakes, so check anything important.

Disconnect

In the StrikeMaster app go to Settings, AI Connection, choose the assistant and press Revoke. You can also remove StrikeMaster in Claude or ChatGPT's own settings. Access stops straight away.

Troubleshooting

  • Connected but no tools: start a new chat and switch StrikeMaster on from the + menu.
  • “Not on that plan”: AI connections need StrikeMaster Annual Pro on the account you signed in with.
  • Signed in with the wrong account: on the Allow page press Use a different account, then connect again.
  • Old icon or name: remove the connector and add it again.
